Fallout New Vegas Blackjack

Also, if you win at Blackjack until you're right near the winnings limit in a casino, then play Roulette and win a bet with a high payout, you can go far past the casino's winnings limit. If you bet 200 caps and win a 35:1 bet, you could win up to 7,000 chips more than the limit. How to Play Blackjack

Date: March 21, 2016Written By: Heather Ferris
In order to start playing, you’ll need to turn in your bottle caps for chips. You might have a hard time gambling with bottle caps since the casinos don’t accept them. Walk up to the cashier’s cage and exchange your caps for casino chips. Once you’ve completed this step, you can start playing on a Blackjack table. The term “Blackjack” refers to when your first two cards are an ace and a 10 value card, which equals 21. When this happens, the hand is an automatic winner. The Ace can be either 1 or 11, depending on what’s favorable to the player. There may be times where you automatically lose and you don’t know why, you might want to tilt your head up a bit to see if the dealer just got blackjack because that’s an automatic winner for them as well. The objective of the game is to get closer to 21, then the dealer, without going over. If both the player and the dealer end up with the same value of cards, then this is a “Push” and neither hand wins or loses. Because aces can be either 1 or 11, this means that there will be times when you have a “soft” hand. For example an ace and a 5 can be either 6 or 16, and the casino will always use the number that is most favorable towards the player.
When you start playing Blackjack, the first thing you want to consider is how many chips you want to bet for this round. You can increase your bet, decrease your bet or bet the maximum allowed. “Deal” means that the dealer will start dealing out the cards and this is how you start a new round. If you want to leave the game, then that’s what “Exit” is for. When playing blackjack, you’ll have some options available to you. “Hit” means that you want to take 1 additional card, adding to your total value. The player would normally hit if their total value is 11 or lower. “Stay” means that you want to stay with the total that you have and you’ll receive no additional cards after that. A good strategy would be to stay on a 17 or higher, or if the dealer has a 2 thru 6 up card then you would stay if you have a 12 or higher. “Double Down” is when you put up an additional bet and you only receive one card. It’s good to double down if your first two cards equal a 9, 10 or 11. “Split” can only occur if your first two cards are the same value. So if you have two 3’s, then you can split the hand. You’ll need to pay an additional wager, but then your two cards are split, making two separate hands. The Simple Strategy says that you can split anything you want except 5’s or 10’s. “Surrender” means that you give up and lose half of your bet. It’s only advisable to surrender if you have a 16 and the Dealer has a 10 up card. After you’ve played your first 10 hands, you’ll get the Double Down Achievement.

Fallout: New Vegas is the latest installment to Obsidian Entertainment’s popular post-apocalyptic role-playing series, bringing the action to Las Vegas and the Mojave Desert.

Sometimes after a long day of gunning down real and imaginary friends and trying to solve some of virtual life’s mysteries, a player wants to take a break to wager, socialize, and hopefully make some money winning at blackjack. The developers at Obidian clearly decided gamblers shouldn’t need a separate game for that.

Fallout: New Vegas takes players to Sin City of 2281. Despite a nuclear war devastating the United States, Las Vegas was not directly struck. The buildings are intact and mutations are negligible. Now various factions compete for power.

Somehow bottle-caps have become an accepted and coveted currency. Gamers who enjoy gambling and have collected at least 2,000 caps can take their money to one of several casinos and exchange the caps for chips which can be used to play blackjack, slots, and roulette.

These games function much like real life, but in this role playing game, characters have a “Luck” status. Players who have more luck will have a greater chance of drawing 10’s, Aces, and face cards when they play blackjack. While slots seem to remain random, a player with more Luck will still somehow win more often. For roulette, luck also affects the probability of the ball stopping on your number or color. Players must have at least 5 Luck points for this feature to kick in.

Currently, players can only gamble for imaginary in-game currency. However, Fallout: New Vegas, like many modern games allows third party mods. It is only a matter of time before an innovative online blackjack casino developer such as Microgaming takes the initiative to develop a plug-in so you can play for real money instead of imaginary bottle caps. We’ll let you know the moment we find it.
