I’m fairly certain that most slot players are familiar with wide area progressives. But for those who are unfamiliar with the term, wide area progressives or WAPs are progressives that offer massive jackpots which are often connected among various game titles & linked through multiple casinos within a gaming jurisdiction.

If you’re still confused think of games like Megabucks in Nevada. Megabucks comes in several different variants of the old-school mechanical reels to video reels & the jackpot which starts at $10 million is linked throughout the state of Nevada from Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe & everywhere in between.

I went to Las Vegas for the first time in 2004 and really loved playing the Wheel of Fortune machines. These machines were everywhere at that time and I remember the delight they afforded, with seemingly decent payouts, euphoria inducing music that played with a winning combination, exciting wheel spins and the (albeit atomic) chance to win a really big prize). IGT surely hit the jackpot when it developed the Wheel of Fortune progressive slot and introduced them to Las Vegas casinos in 1996. The slot has become a must-play and there is no casino on the Vegas strip that does not have variants of the Wheel of Fortune slot on its casino floor.

Now it’s not often that advantage play slot machines are attached to wide area progressives. One recent machine is Sphinx 4D by IGT which I’ll get around to posting about soon. I better get on it because they seem to be disappearing rapidly. The last one prior to Sphinx 4D I believe to have come out was Clue in 2012, a WMS machine based on the classic board game.

Another advantage slot machine that doubled as a wide area progressive was IGT’s infamous Indiana Jones. This machine was around in 2008 or so & was relatively short lived. Indiana Jones was gone by the time that I started advantage playing slot machines but the stories I’ve heard from many long-time hustlers are legendary. Maybe I’ll touch on Clue & Indiana Jones someday.

Anyway the hot new game that’s being unveiled in more & more casinos is IGT’s Wheel of Fortune 4D. It’s a great looking new game that’s interactive for players & utilizes the latest technology for an immersive experience. But best of all for hustlers is that it can be taken advantage of. In short if you know how to hustle the Golden Egypt machines the same rules apply. If you’re new to this site & don’t know how then you can click here & learn all about it.

My initial thoughts on Wheel of Fortune 4D from a hustler’s perspective is that you’ll want to check on these machines often. It’s Wheel of Fortune, one of the most recognized & iconic slot machines of all-time. It’s going to be very popular. They come in banks of up to six machines to create a large, unified Wheel of Fortune wheel on the upper screens. This gives it a community based feel & from what I can tell it’s already getting significant play from customers particularly those in groups & of course that means more potential advantage play opportunities for hustlers.

To top it all off you could legitimately win “big money” like the contestants hope for on the game show by winning the wide area progressive which you’d be eligible to win on bets of 300 or more credits. Of course your odds of winning the WAP is extremely slim, astronomically slim so don’t expect to win it. But there’s always a chance you could be that one who does.
